For those who killed him, for those who farmed him and for those who still cant beat him..
I want to introduce to you the one and only.. Mephisto!... the Lord of Hatred and also the eldest of the three brothers.
Many Diablo fans has/have? him as a favorite character of the three prime evils, but I havnt seen alot of fanart of him so I decided to do something for everyone to look at.
I guess its a mix of Diablo2 and 3 once again, inspired by the concept of Diablo3 when the Heavens and Hell clash together into the human world. The background is kinda like act2 with all the sand and the architecture of the buildings, Lut Gholein maybe. I tried to have him in hes orginal place which is in Act 3, but meh It didnt turn out as good. Also you might notice Mephisto is rather huge, just as I think powerful deamons should be XD and yeh he wont fit in that portal, so I guess hes like summoning people to the real world, or he just opened it so someone could flee back to hell!
But yeh If I found something wrong or If I wanna change something, I will write the update here.
he's hunge indeed ^_^ great fan art!!! the opening of the portal is one of my favourite cinematics just a side note, the balc thing with screaming faces of the portal you've drawn look like a waterfall, while in the cinematics it looks more like molten bitumen. Is there a particular reason why you decided to draw it like that?
Thank you, well for the portal with the faces, I struggled alot to show its actually a portal and not uhm some kind of gravestone looking thing, I tried to paint it more like in the cinematic, but it didnt show movement as good, so it ended up like this after trying to figure out what would look better. Anyway I also made a red portal instead so you could see through it but, I was afraid it would take too mutch distraction of the overall image. Im not sure if im happy with it like this, I might go back to it later and do a update, I know for sure my friend who never played diablo thought it was a gravestone, which means I kinda failed to describe it as a "liquid moving form".
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
